BiographyNicknamed "John". Son of William Millar and Anna Jane Seaman Crichton. Brother of James Lewis Crichton. Married Lyda McClain on August 12, 1918 at Sterling, Colorado. Father of John Henderson Crichton. Grandfather of famed novelist Michael Crichton. Described by family as being "a soldier by instinct." Served in Company C, Nebraska State Guard. In June 1913 resigned and enlisted in 27th Company, 4th Regiment Marine Corps, serving in San Domingo. Was expert cook, rifleman and qualified as sharpshooter. Also known as John Henderson.
